Episode 17: The Tangerine Factor
The season finale brings everything together as Leonard finally asks Penny out on a real date after Sheldon uses Schrödinger's cat to explain the uncertainty of romantic outcomes. They kiss, and despite worrying about potentially ruining their friendship, they leave for dinner at the Chinese restaurant where Sheldon argues in terrible Mandarin, establishing the series' closing ritual.
