Short Video: In Hinduism, the concepts of dharma and religion play distinct yet interconnected roles in guiding an individual's life and spiritual journey . Dharma , often translated as duty or righteousness, encapsulates the moral, ethical, and virtuous principles that govern one's actions in accordance with universal laws and cosmic order. It is not limited to a set of religious rituals or practices but rather encompasses the broader idea of fulfilling one's responsibilities towards self, society, and the cosmos.   On the other hand, religion in Hinduism refers to the adherence to a particular set of beliefs, deities, rituals, and practices that form the cultural and spiritual foundation of an individual or community. While dharma provides the ethical framework for righteous conduct, religion offers the structured practices and narratives through which an individual may connect with the divine and seek spiritual fulfillment.   One key distinction between dharma and religion in Hinduism lies in their scope and application. Dharma is considered universal and timeless, applicable to all individuals regardless of their religious affiliations, while religion is often more specific and culturally bound, prescribing particular traditions and customs associated with a specific deity or community.   Despite these distinctions, dharma and religion are deeply intertwined in Hindu beliefs, with each complementing and reinforcing the other. Dharma provides the moral compass that guides individuals in navigating the complexities of life, while religion offers the rituals and practices through which one may cultivate a deeper connection with the divine and seek spiritual growth. In essence, dharma and religion in Hinduism work in harmony to support individuals in their quest for self-realization and spiritual enlightenment.   https://youtube.com/shorts/1hj88kO0BJc?si=UUiORC6dnDLyExRP
