·       Chapter 1 – Verse 1-11 o    From the ocean of spiritual teachings there is a gem consisting of 700 plus verses called Bhagavat Gita. o    Bhagavad Gita conveys the main spiritual teachings of ancient rishi’s in the context of battlefield where two mightiest armies are gathered to wage the greatest war of that time. The same vedantic teachings are taught by Lord Shree Krishna to Arjuna. o    Battlefield – Kurukshetra (present day Haryana) is called the field of dharma where battle took place between dharma and adharma. o    Dharma that defines things what it is, things in the field of dharma and Karma. o    As a human, we all know what dharma is and adharma is. But when we choose actions; then we make wrong decisions. o    This represents our daily life where areas of challenges, difficulties and problems of life resemble a battlefield. o    Majority of the discussion revolved around Verse 1: ¨      On the battlefield, Kurukshetra, the field of dharma, dhṛitarāśhtra uvācha dharma-kṣhetre kuru-kṣhetre samavetā yuyutsavaḥ māmakāḥ pāṇḍavāśhchaiva kimakurvata sañjaya
