There are 27 nakshatras.
The 27 nakshatras in order are: Ashwini, Bharani, Krittika, Rohini, Mrigashirsha, Arudra, Punarvasu, Pushya, Ashlesha, Makha, Purva Phalguni, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Chitra, Swati, Vishakha, Anuradha, Jyeshtha, Moola, Purva Ashadha, Uttara Ashadha, Shravana, Dhanishta, Shatabhisha, Purva Bhadrapada, Uttara Bhadrapada, and Revati.&nbsp;
The space sphere is 360 degree so each nakshatra is 360/27 = 13.33 degree in geometric terms each nakshatra is 13 degree and 20 minutes.
Each nakshatra has 4 padas (sub divisions)
So each nakshatra sub division is 13.33/4 = 3 .33 degree i.e. 3 degree 20 minutes.
