In the tranquil silence of the marshlands, a lesser fish eagle perches atop a sturdy branch, its keen eyes scanning the rippling surface of the water below. With unwavering patience, it waits, its golden-brown feathers blending seamlessly with the surrounding foliage. The eagle's sharp beak and talons betray its predatory nature, yet there is a serene elegance in its demeanor as it remains still, poised for the perfect moment to strike.

Time seems to slow as the eagle's intense gaze follows the movements of the fish darting beneath the surface. Each ripple and disturbance in the water catches its attention, but the eagle remains motionless, conserving its energy for the opportune instant.

The white-eyed buzzard is a medium-sized bird of prey. It is native to the Indian subcontinent. 

These birds typically inhabit wooded areas, forests, and open country with scattered trees. They feed primarily on small mammals, reptiles, insects, and occasionally birds, hunting from perches or by soaring and gliding. White-eyed buzzards are often solitary or found in pairs.

This lone species was captured at Pandam Reserve Forest in Mahabubabad District in Telangana state. The species was busy preening its feathers and showed it's nictatating membrane.

Footage was captured using Canon R3 + Canon RF 600mm f4 lens. The kit was placed on top of the car for more elevation.

Barn Owl Feeding

A barn Owl feeding on a rodent. 

I got an opportunity to document a barn owl pair @lifeatwoods, shamshabad during Oct 2022 till Jan 2023.

During this period, I could capture this pair nesting, feeding chicks and other behaviour. The pair used to feed chicks with various types of rodents, bats, and swallow birds. 

This is one moment during that documentation.
