With their long necks outstretched and legs trailing behind, they glide effortlessly, their black-tipped wings adding contrast to their soft pink plumage. The air fills with a chorus of low, guttural calls as the birds begin their descent, wings fanning out to slow their approach.

One by one, they skim the water’s surface, their thin legs slicing through the ripples before finally settling in. As more birds land, the lake transforms into a sea of pink, their reflections dancing on the water.
